    Classes

    The Aikido class is £1 per session Monday and Friday, and £1.20 on Sunday's session (there is an additional cost to enter the gym, see below).

     

    Insurance

     

    AU

    Athletic Union (AU) membership card is required for insurance and safety reasons. With an AU card DMU student will be insured to train in all the Sports/Martial Arts' Clubs within the University (price see below).

     

    UKA 

    For non Students you will need United Kingdom Aikikai (UKA) insurance, this will enables you to train all over the country and any gradings will be free (price see below).

     

    Students

    - £25 Athletic Union Yearly Membership (you need this for your insurance) this card also gets you some dicounts in bars "hic")

    Gym

    - John Sandford Sports Centre Yearly £42 a Year For Students, £66.50 for DMU Staff and £160 for everone else (if you get an AU card you gell a discount on the Gym membership).

    [ AU Card £1.80, DMU Student Card £2.60, all others £4.10 ]

    Non-Students

    United Kingdom Aikikai Association Membership £27 a year (you need this for your insurance)

    £4.10 to enter the Sports Centre and £1 to train.

    Alternatively, if you have been university student at some time you can get an 'Associates Membership' which costs around £20 - £25 (this is for life membership) in order to be charged only £1.80 to enter the gym.
